GENOCIDE is a sonnet sequence on the tragic life and harrowing death of Umwamikazi Rosalie Gicanda, Rwanda’s last Queen who was among the first to die in the Genocide in Butare. IMANNA is a Spenserian epic poem on the Rwanda Genocide and its sequel in Congo. The novel AFRAHA is the confrontation between the individual and the almighty African state in all its fearsome might. The play BARON SAMEDDI is the call by IMANNA maiden goddess to mourn her dead who perished in the Rwanda Genocide. Latest work is BARAKOA, a sonnet sequence on the coronavirus which is devastating lives in Siaya - job losses, deferred studies, cut backs on projects, failed term times, deaths and more deaths .. the list is long.
