| Introduction | I was diagnosed with colon cancer and successfully treated with radiation, surgery and chemo in 2010. Cancer reappeared in my liver in 2016 and then spread to my lungs. After four liver surgeries and 60 rounds of various chemo programs with declining effectiveness, Carol and I faced a question in January: Is it time to stop treatment? We decided it was. There's a lot of time to think once you head down this path. We thought it might be helpful to share some observations with others on this final journey. |
