| Introduction | My art evokes the energy and motion of the world that surrounds us. I am compelled by the tension between the conscious deliberation of human action and the perpetual non-conscious activity of the atmosphere that surrounds us. The volatile interaction of human creations and the naturally occurring world is a collision of contrasting visual information that I reflect upon in my work. These paintings are the result of intuitive response and formal investigation. I place continuity and dynamism in form and space to obscure meaning and create new context. The condition of things is elusive within the realm of the painting and is open for interpretation. |
