| Introduction | Perhaps, being a domestic goddess comes easily to some. They laugh at spills, and interruptions, their dresses stay neatly pressed, each hair in place, their lipstick stays on their lips and not on their teeth. It doesn’t work like that for me. I didn’t prepare properly. My mother was an anarchist, I was a runaway. I didn’t get pearls for my Sweet Sixteen, I got tattooed and pierced. Yet, my home is my safe haven and my husband my heart’s desire. Domestic Bliss here I come. |
