| Introduction | I am 7 years old and LOVE gymnastics. I began recreational gymnastics when I was 4 and was invited to the "pre-team" class immediately. From there, I was invited to work out with the competing team as a 5 year old even though I was not old enough to compete. Now at 7, I am a USA Gymnastics (USAG) Level 5 and TOPs (USAG Talent Opportuninty Program) Team member. I work very hard, 20 hours at the gym, to be on this team. My biggest goal for 2010 is to test in June to make the Diamond Level for USAG's National TOPs Team. Only the best 25 girls in the United States make this team and I've been working hard, even holding off on competing, since I was 5 to get my turn. When I am not working out at the gym, I am busy with my school work. I am homeschooled and in second grade. My favorite subject is math. I want to get a gymnastics scholarship to Stanford and I want to be an architect when I grow up. I like listening to my I-Pod which has mostly Taylor Swift and playing with my American Girl doll. I want to try horseback riding but my mom hasn't signed me up yet. |
