| Introduction | The New York Friday Lunch Club was reflecting on the good fortune of living in a neighborhood sprinkled with bakeries, coffee shops and boutiques and suddenly thought; what if we’d never found these little gems? Worse still, what if there are people who come to New York and never make it below 14th street? And so began our mission to find the sweetest moments off the tourist trail in Manhattan’s villages, and to share them with you. Miss Rebecca and her friends started meeting for breakfast and lunch in early 2008 and almost by accident the New York Friday Lunch Club came to be. The challenge has always been “to find the tastiest bites in a very big apple” and two years on we're still enjoying the indulgence of our search. |
