About me

Location	Hanmer Springs, North Canterbury, New Zealand
Interests	Steve and I were born and raised in the UK and met whilst working at the Lakeside YMCA centre on Lake Windermere. We lived in the Lake District for over ten years and worked at a variety of outdoor education centres. We then moved to the Peak District and set up and ran Nottinghamsire education authority's outdoor centre on the Snake Pass - Hagg Farm. We had our two children, Ben and Beth , and then moved to Pembrokeshire, SW Wales. Steve worked for the Princes Trust and Lynne ran The Old Court House - a vegetarian guest house. An opportunity to have a holiday in New Zealand arose and we fell in love with the country. We moved out to New Zealand in 2001 and settled in Hanmer Springs to run an outdoor activity company of our own -Activity Hanmer. Our passion has always been for the outdoors and tramping our main activity. To indulge in this adventure is the result of over 30 years work in the outdoor industry. Join us on our adventure in your armchair, by the side of the road or shake off your boots and walk a section with us. See you there - "because we can !!"
