What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?

I don’t think tape should be used for sculpting. Monkeys in the zoo use their poo - no tape. The great artists of Europe used stone; granite, marble, etc. Again, no tape. How would you get tape to stick to clay? You can't...so, no tape. I guess my answer would be “none.” Unless…all you had to listen to while sculpting was a tape recorder, then I suppose Maxell or Sony would be the “best” tape.
