Introduction | My Peace Corps story starts somewhere around 2004, when a piece of Peace Corps literature landed in my lap and sparked a dream that would span a decade by the time I completed service in Ethiopia and returned to the States in 2014.
Peace Corps service is chock full of ups and downs, but it truly is one of the most wonderful paths an American can fulfill. I invite you to dig through some of my experiences from Ethiopia. Recount how I lived out that dream - the struggles and the triumphs that resulted - as an English Education Volunteer in Ethiopia. I was posted in Bekoji, the heartland of running culture in Ethiopia. While I am no longer an active PCV, I do believe firmly that the assignment is lifelong, and therefore still feel obligated to explicitly state that the views, accounts, descriptions, and any other content appearing on this blog are (or were) entirely my own and are in no way supported or endorsed by the United States Peace Corps (nor will they ever be). |
