Introduction | Stephen Marks has been working in health-service-related fields since 1993. His professional experience includes organizational development and training; EAP (employee assistance program) oversight; community organizing; mental health recovery and wellness; T-Group Learning; adult learning and training curriculum development; domestic and community violence reduction and prevention; substance abuse treatment and prevention program evaluation; anger management facilitation; stress reduction and outpatient substance abuse relapse prevention. Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University, is certified as an advanced trainer in Wellness and Recovery Action Planning (W.R.A.P.) by the Copeland Center and is an Anderson and Anderson Certified Anger Management Facilitator (CAMF). He has worked with peer groups as diverse as San Quentin inmates; state mental health directors and board members; Asian immigrant substance abusers, and Stanford University graduate students. In addition to presenting wellness and recovery training and facilitation, he has been enjoying his own recovery and wellness for many years. |
