| Introduction | This is a blog that touches on several portions of my life. * I am an active member of Piney Hills Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International. If you're a woman who likes to sing and perform, our chorus members could become some of your new best buddies! If you live within driving distance of Ruston, please come visit. We rehearse most Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Ruston, 212 North Bonner. We're always in the market for new members -- both high and low voices. * I belong to the ladies' philanthropic group, Zeta Rho chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Our main charity is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. * My husband, Hooshang, is a self-employed fine arts painter who maintains a working studio in our Ruston home. (See links below.) * I teach journalism and work in the News Bureau at Louisiana Tech. I plan to retire soon and use more of my time to support my husband in his work, including travel to art shows, galleries, etc. * I am a Christian who attends Northside Church of Christ. We meet at 1804 N. Trenton St., here in Ruston. You're welcome at any time! * I'm also an Avon lady in my spare time. |
