Introduction	In 2012 we sold our house in Portland, Oregon, having decided to take a break from our busy lives and have an adventure while our kids (then ages 12, 9 and 5) were still at home with us. In February, 2013, we headed to Costa Rica and landed in Nuevo, Arenal, a lovely small town on Lake Arenal. Our kids attended public school there, we made some great friends and we all learned Spanish. After two years in Costa Rica, we are taking a year to travel - South America, US and Europe. After that we plan to land in San Sebastian, Spain, where we'd like to spend a year in order to continue learning Spanish and experience life in Europe.
