IntroductionOnce you make the decision to focus your eyes on the same spot, to exert the fine motor control necessary to discern one small fragment of the world from the rest of the continuum -- the very moment you do this your brain sends triggers to induce microsaccades. Your eye starts jerking around involuntarily. Foveal vision is compromised and enveloped into the peripheral field.
