| Introduction | I am a teacher and biologist by trade who has always liked to study only the fun subjects. I don't read fast, but I remember what I read. I like to play chess, but I do so poorly. I passionately enjoy kites of all kinds, although I might be a hack flyer. I have two highly intelligent but poorly trained dogs who understand both Dutch and English, but choose to respond to neither. I am a retired amateur basketball player turned recreational smoker (these are mutually exclusive pasttimes), and love nothing more than good company coupled with good music and good beer. I believe that America is in deep trouble as a culture and economy. I believe that the dollar is on the verge of collapse, that Peak Oil has arrived, and that a direct result will be a major global economic crisis. I believe that without revolutionary action by the American people, the country we all grew up in will soon cease to exist. In its stead will be a rotten shell of a republic where the individual is slave to the governing elite. One of the most frightening questions that comes to my mind every day is: Has this transition already occurred in plain view of all of us? |
