| Introduction | "Meriwether" is my nickname, after Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark. It was the nickname i got from a few friends that thought it fit because I love to look at maps and explore the outdoors. I try to live up to the name, and the more I read the journals of Lewis I find myself seeing some likenesses. He was a naturalist who "discovered" and described countless new species of plant and animal to the early Americans. I have not done that but I am an ecologist/biologist using GIS and other things to try and preserve some of the species first seen by Lewis. I hope that i can experience one ounce of the adventure that Lewis experienced in my lifetime. |
| Interests | living in the mountains, dog walks with my girl, riding mountain bikes, and cyclocross, skateboarding the only way = the 80's way. Telemarking and snowboarding, backcountry travel and earning turns. All that is outdoors. the Anti-cubicle in spirit. |
