| Introduction | Poets United was founded in May of 2010 in hopes of having a community where poets could interact with another in a positive environment free from advertisement and spam. Our intent is to bring poetry bloggers from all over to interact with one another in a positive manner. At Poets United you will find a friendly and helpful community of poets along with a wealth of poetry sources and connections. Currently, each week, we highlight a different poetry blog, poem and offer a poetry prompt every Thursday. In addition to this we have a wonderful interview series called “The Life of a Poet” posted every Wednesday where we highlight a different poet from our community. All of the poems, blogs and interviews are taken directly from our members. We try to be as supportive as possible to those who make our community so wonderful. The latest at our site is “The Poetry Pantry”. It is a weekly post where any poet can draw attention to some of their favorite poems they have written themselves. When possible, Poets United highlights other great poetry sources, web pages and or groups. We are about the community and if there is a great place for poetry we want you to know about it. |
