| Introduction | I've been absolutely hooked on computers since 1988 when I got my first computer - a Commodore 64. Since then I've learned how to use / build / program / repair desktop computers and laptops. The first _real_ operating system I got comfortable with was DOS 5.0 before moving on to Unix/Linux. I was involved in the PC-Demoscene by contributing a few music tracks (.S3M , .IT) from 1992-1997 until I had to get a job and start making money. I ran a BBS called "The Night Shade" running on PCBoard - I used it primarily to share my music/get music from other local sceners. I've worked for a few electronics retailers in their service centers repairing desktops/laptops before finally moving on to a few software companies. I've always been asked "Why don't you take up programming?!" Because of how good I was with hacking around on a computer in various operating systems and writing custom .BAT/.SH files to make my life easier. But , my response was always "I'm not smart enough for that, and my math skills are awful"... Come to find out I guess I'm not that stupid and I can learn anything I put my mind to. |
