| Introduction | David Pickering is a fanatical striper fisherman who fishes for striped bass 12 months of the year. He is considered RI's most prolific striped bass catcher with lifelong landings of over 50,000 stripers with fish upwards of 50 lbs.. While his specialty is shore fishing, he also fishes from a boat and kayak. He catches most of these fish on tackle, plugs and rigs he designs himself. He writes extensively about striped bass fishing in many magazines and books, conducts seminars on striper fishing and is a member of the New England Outdoor Writers' Association. He is also an award winning photograher and his striper fishing photos have appeared in many magazines, books and catalog covers. He is a frequent contributor to The Fisherman magazine (NE edition). He also writes for On the Water magazine. |
