About me

Introduction I was first inspired to begin this blog in 2006 when I was living in Lebanon and briefly encountered the tensions of a divided society and the outbreak of war. I already had an educational background in International Studies (Peace & Conflict Resolution) and later pursued a degree in Anthropology. I am fascinated by human psychology, how we interact across cultures, how our different social systems work (or don’t work) and how we can improve them. Although conflicts are a natural component to positive change, I believe that violent conflicts stump our ability to construct a stable and harmonious future. A culture of violence prevents developments in education, health, economics, safeguarding the environment and so much more. I am convinced that the only way to truly cure our social ills is by elevating our human consciousness- our deep awareness of the self and man’s interconnectedness not only to one another but also the environment. I look forward to sharing ideas and exploring the fascinating ways of this world with you!
