| Introduction | This blog serves to share my natural health journey with those who are interested . As a member of the female Afro-Caribbean community, my decision to start my natural hair journey after over a decade of processing came as a surprise for many. Aside from the less encouraging comments, the most difficult part of becoming natural was learning how to care for my hair. Research on "how to care black hair" become an obsession. Being apart of the colonial legacy, I needed to move away from the viewing my hair as "bad hair". I found refuge in Youtube natural hair Vloggers and related blogs. During my practical an theoretical research, I learned that healthy hair was not possibly without a healthy body! Therefore, I changed my diet in order to grow healthy hair, but maintained it because I felt better than I did in years. I am now vegan. Therefore, I will share my hair care tips and my vegan gluten free recipes on this site, along with miscellaneous self-expressions. Some of the recipes will be from recipe books and others will be originals. I hope my shared experiences will be beneficial to readers. Most importantly, I hope it will be enjoyed. Bless up, and One Love! |
