Introduction I am a machine quilter and teacher. I have been connected to a sewing machine as long as I can remember. Thank you to Santa (Mom & Dad) who brought my Singer Sew Handy electric sewing machine for Christmas during my second grade year! I had the fiercest Barbie doll wardrobe in Hardin County! My passion turned to quilting about 14 years ago. I teach machine quilting classes and love sharing that light bulb moment when the student figures out that she really can "doodle" on her quilt. I studied textiles and costume design at North Texas State University in Denton, TX. Being a seamstress was an occupation that moved with us as a military family and allowed me to stay home with my children. I blame my movement to quilting on Carol Herbst. She is a quilter who lured me in while we were stationed in Brussels, Belgium. That was a fabulous quilting group! Many, many thanks to the wonderful teachers I have encountered along the way. Sharing what they love has enhanced all of their student's work. I hope to use this forum to share what I have learned and am learning. I love to machine quilt! So...let's have some fun.
