| Introduction | The SIOUX MAQ spirit journal exists to celebrate the sumac blossoms of Pittsburgh, especially along the THREE RIVERS TRAIL, just behind the South Side Works. Sometimes it's difficult to survive cold urban life without any money and unfriendly crowds, but the supernatural force of Sioux Maq can nourish the hungriest of Pittsburgh human conditions. After all, why be confined to indoor spaces when the weeds of the Pittsburgh experience can provide total artistic freedom? Please contribute to this blog with your artwork. Your artwork doesn't have to be directly related to sumacs or the trail -- simply submit something inspired by the purple haze of Sioux Maq's spirit. |
