Introduction Which would be the best way to tell you about me? Well, let's start up with my name.I'm Monica! Yeah, I know...what an ordinary name! but guess what! throughout my entire life I've been discovering interesting facts about my name, and eventually about myself. I'll share them with you. First, my name means "The only one" that makes sense since I'm an only child...don't you think? Also, I'm catholic, so I got a catholic name...and I'm proud of it...I wish I were like St. Monica, mother of St. Agustin...yeah the crazy guy who ended up becoming a great philosopher and a saint! his mom had something to do with it. I also love my name because it's an international name...Monica is just Monica wherever I go...Sometimes I'm a solitaire soul, but I can also become a social butterfly...all depends on who is around me or on my mood...yeah I think I'm kind of moody, but good news! I'm also very patient! are you getting this? yeah I'm a total Gemini! yeah Catholics shouldn't believe in astrology, but I do...I'm not crazy about it, but I think my astral sign reflects who I if you want to know more about some astral research
Interests Languages, cultures, traveling, international music, international food, poetry, drawing, losing myself in any kind of artistic form, creating positive energy and saving it!
Favorite Movies The first one that comes to my mind is "Noel." I watched it in Lille, France. I loved the movies that are based on real facts...yeah documentaries too... any movie that is not that obvious and that has been well-thought...but right now I'm fan of Jorge Canedo Estrada's gotta watch just makes me think and that's what makes a good movie or a good video!
Favorite Music International music! how come? well...RFI is responsible for that...listening to all that Arabic and African music just drove me crazy about it...and just helped me build up on this passion...and of friends...what could I do without my friends? all of them have inspired me to listen to music from their countries and I just fell in love with them...Cuban music with its Buena Vista Social Club, Argentinian music with its Piazzolla, French music and its Paris Combo, Manu Chao and Edith Piaf (among many others), African music and its Emmanuel Jal (one of the Lost Boys) and Freshly Ground, Latin music with its Mark Anthony...and then an infinite list of music I love...last, but not least...Bolivian music with its Savia Andiana, Musica de Maestros, Octavia...
Favorite Books The first one that comes to my mind is "It was on fire when I lay down on it" by Robert Fulghum Why? because it was probably one of the first books that taught me that life is just a compilation of short, simple stories that are worth to be shared with others, especially when those stories teach you something. The second one should be the Bible...and the story of Joseph...he's still an inspiration for me...I wish someday I'll be able to forgive people who have hurt me...
