Introduction	I have just begun a 2-year internship in multimedia at Newsday, the newspaper of Long Island. Previous to this job I interned at the Newark Star-Ledger, where I had the pleasure of photographing lots and lots of breaking news: shootings corruption and dead bodies. I graduated from Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications in May 2009 with a degree in photojournalism. Meaning I owe a certain institution lots and lots of money- I'm praying cash starts falling out of the sky on my head pretty soon. I want to share the work I am doing and get feedback about the journalism and art I create. All the photography on this blog unless otherwise noted is copyrighted to me, Mahala Gaylord.
