Introduction | I was not born into privilege, everything I've worked for I've earned. I believe in having a Go Getter mentality. My years in school educating myself prepared me for the workforce and provided me with options. I was fortunate enough to travel to Mexico and Japan as an American TESOL representative and educate citizens interested in truly learning the language and the skills. Every job I've attained has taught me a new skill, a new way of learning, and a profound sense of humility and self determination. I graduated from The University of New Mexico in 2006 with my BA in Education and a minor in TESOL. I went on to pursue my Masters Degree in English Literature with a concentration in Adult Literacy & Education at Columbia University in New York, Graduated class of 2008. Taught HS English for 5 years amongst other ventures such as TESOL travel networking at many different educational conferences and conventions. Sacrifice and legacy drive me. Being a strong woman in a workforce that doesn't always appreciate our contributions fuel me to do more, strive for better, and give up for no one. |
