| Introduction | I am a 21 year old Kenyan born bilingual Essayist,lyricist and poet.My poetry journey 'accidentally' begun in my final year in highschool,during the famous Kenya music festival.But it was only in 2008, through the intervention of Tempa Tella(Japan based Kenyan poet),charles Kanjama(Advocate,collumist,essayist),Imani Woomera (renowned spokenword poet)n close friends that I started taking 'the accident'seriously.In october 2008 I was voted best poet during the USANII Forum (Nairobi chapter) held at the Kenya National Theatre.Since then I assumed a relatively low profile after resuming Law school.Nevertheless A first book(Anthology) is in the pipeline and more literary intrigues on the Horizon. |
