Introduction Ariel Ramos is a composer and pianist and has been teaching music to students of all ages, for more than 15 years. He is a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a major in Film Scoring. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Ariel Ramos started his career as a pianist and received first place in the AEMUS and the Cluzeau Mortet piano competition and was also nominated for a Florencio Sanchez for best music for the play “The Maids”. He is now established in Florida teaching, performing and composing music for film, TV and chamber music, arranging from small to large ensembles and performing jazz, latin and chamber music in the area. He is one of the orchestra piano players for the Royal Caribean and Holland American cruise lines orchestras. He has been the staff accompanist and private music teacher at American Heritage School in Plantation for the last five years. In 2011 he performed at Carnegie Hall in New York with the National Youth Choir. As a composer he holds many credits including the music ID for Warner Bros: “Pushing Daisies” and Terminator “The Sarah Conor Chronicles”; cues in Nickelodeon; TV commercials and has written soundtracks for many independent films.
