Introduction Carol Porter selects a cookbook and then seeks your aid in selecting your favorite recipes from it by your vote in her bi-weekly poll. You vote. Carol cooks and writes about it all, here and in the newspaper. Transitioning from the world of business (General Manager of nine newspapers) and politics (nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia) to life in the country, Carol, with an empty nest, a barn full of cookbooks, a history in journalism, and a life of culinary experiences, is starting a new chapter in her life and wants to take you along for the ride. Carol inherited her recipe column from her mother Louise Dodd who wrote over 1800 newspaper columns. Although having four sons in four years put a stop to Carol’s culinary travels with her mother, Carol continued to pursue their recipe quest with her ever-growing collection of cookbooks and through her love of cooking and entertaining. Carol thinks nothing of cooking a “sit-down tablecloth brunch” for 300 with “just the children” helping. Carol Porter will inspire the same, “Have recipe, will cook” in you as well.Get in on the voting-- here or on her chef page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Carol-Porter/187387317960673
