Introduction | I studied Mathematics from in my first degree at College of Education Lafole, Somali National University, and became an Assistant Lecturer there from 1986 to 1991. In 1991, I studied Curriculum Development at Rome University and continued my studies in Debrezeit Management Institute in Project Cycle Management. I worked for the Somali Regional State in the capacity of Regional Minister of Planning and Economic Development working from 1992 to 1995. I co-founded two non-profit making organizations named OWS and OHRC. I worked for UNDP as a Senior Field Researcher from 1995 to 2000 and WFP as Drought Monitoring Coordinator in the Eastern Block of Ethiopia from 1998-2000. I was the whistle blower of the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia from 1998 to 2000 and severe famine prevailing in the Ogaden resulting in my exile life in Canada. I went to Canada and did my Ph.D. in Strategic Planning. I was trained in Organizational Development, Project Cycle Management, and Grant Administration in Villa Nova University and Management Institute in Newtown Square, PA, USA. Currently, I am an independent researcher and trainer. I have offices in Nairobi Kenya and Edmonton, Canada. |
