| Introduction | I am a soon to be thirty-year old wife and mother who happens to have cystic fibrosis, a genetic, terminal illness that affects primarily the respiratory and digestive systems. I am a happy person who loves life and loves her family, but who is often scared about the future and frustrated with the present. During the past couple of years, as my cystic fibrosis has worsened I have struggled with how to accept the increasing role my disease is playing in my life. I am not yet ready for CF and my life to be one and the same, hence on my family blog you will find happy, fun posts with cute pictures of my adorable baby girl and dashingly handsome husband, and here you will find all the raw, honest and sometimes ugly emotions I am dealing with as I try to come to terms with my illness. So, I make no apologies for what I write. It may not be inspiring, faith-promoting,or optimistic, but maybe once in a while something I say might be of value to someone. It is the truth, and it is my life with CF. |
