About me

Location London, United Kingdom
Introduction During the 1990s, I was an active member of the Labour Party. I was supportive of the modernization process initiated by Neil Kinnock having accepted the need for new political approaches to social democracy in the context of globalisation. Following Labour's 1997 election victory, my experiences within the party and New Labour's domestic and foreign policies convinced me that the party had effectively been hijacked by the New Right. I allowed my party membership to lapse before the Iraq War. I am now interested in discussing the possibilities for challenging the current neo-liberal hegemony with other social democrats. Currently, I am employed as a university administrator, and I am reading for a masters degree in politics.
