| Introduction | Mothers of Preschoolers, or affectionately known as, MOPS, is a christian based program designed for mothers of preschoolers, infant through kindergarten. The goal of MOPS is to nurture all mothers of preschoolers, to reach out with encouragement, support and love. MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. The Grace Lutheran Tuesday Mops group joined the MOPS International program on January 10, 1995. The first Mops group at Grace Lutheran had such an overwhelming waiting list, it was decided that a second group be established. Our group, Wednesday MOPS was started in January 1997. Did you know that MOPS International awarded Grace Luthern with the Love Never Fails award in the fall of 2000. MOPS International recognizes one group from their organization world-wide each year. What an honor that was! The church was recognized with an article in the MOPS newsletter, Connections, and a local article in The Republic. |
