| Introduction | Welcome to my Five Minute Art Project: original collages created with found objects and found time. I don’t make them in five minutes. I make them five minutes at a time. Or 10. Sometimes 30 minutes. It’s really a state of mind. A trick on me to put other things aside for a few minutes and go to my studio. My Five Minute Art Project came about in late 2010 when I began an experiment to answer the question: do I really need huge blocks of time to get anything done? Because I don’t have huge blocks of time. So I tried it...five minutes here - before going to work in the morning. Five minutes there - while a load of laundry dries, while my three year old granddaughter paints at her easel in my studio...you get the idea. So began my most prolific time as an artist. |
