Lived in Washington State, Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, New Jersey, Branford, CT, Clemson, SC, Costa Rica. Authored 4 books on beer appreciation and microbreweries and brewpubs. I began gardening in 1968 when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in La Cuesta, a village on the Costa Rican - Panamanian border. I have gardened in Costa Rica, Connecticut, and South Carolina. I try to use native species and garden for wildlife. My wife and I moved to the highlands of Costa Rica in 2009. |
