Introduction Tuna Tasan-Kok, Ph.D., M.Sc., BA (Hons.)(°1970) is Assist. Professor of Human Geography at University of Utrecht, Roosevelt Academy and Senior Researcher at TUDelft, OTB Research Institute for the Built Environment. She obtained her Ph.D. in Urban Geography from the University of Utrecht, M.Sc. in Regional Planning from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey and BA (Honrs.) in City and Regional Planning from Dokuz Eylul University, Turkey. She has been conducting and coordinating international comparative research for over a decade in different European countries. She has previously held research posts at Polish and Hungarian Academy of Sciences, coordinated a research group at Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and worked at University of Antwerp, OASeS. She has mainly published on the topics of globalisation, property market dynamics, property-led planning, property-led urban regeneration issues, entrepreneurial urban governance, European regulations and planning, multicultural cities, and resilience thinking in urban planning.
