| Introduction | I am an Architect, green building specialist, climate change consultant, and Masters of Public Health candidate. As a public health professional, I am interested in how the existing built environment supports or imposes barriers to an active lifestyle. In many cases, existing infrastructure can be activated to encourage behavior change with few or no modifications. As an Architect, I am interested in how design and development can remove physical barriers to lifestyle change. This blog reflects my personal decision-making process for how to live a more active life and experience my surroundings up close in a way that is impossible from inside a car.
