Introduction	On foot of receiving a major loan of prehistoric and medieval material from the National Museum of Ireland we are now in a process of major redevelopment, which will necessitate the closure of the Museum for the next month (due to reopen in early June). We are taking this opportunity to totally revamp the Museum and will showcase the first of our 'People's History of Galway' projects this summer: looking at Pádraic Ó Conaire, Dance Hall Days in Salthill, Cinema in Galway and more. This blog gives a casual, 'behind the scenes' look at how a massive museum project like this is put together!
