| Introduction | Once upon a time, a son and daughter lived far away from home and missed home-cooked meals. So a mother decided to write down the family recipes, much of which had been passed down and learned only by word of mouth. This was done so that her children would have a record of family recipes for the future and an easier time learning how to make them.
