Introduction Earl Capps discusses current events and issues related to South Carolina government and politics, as well as workforce and economic development, rock music, his academic work, and whatever other stray thoughts come to mind. He oversees Human Resources and Safety for Charlotte-based retail and distribution company. He has his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication from the College of Charleston, where he is an adjunct professor in their Department of Communication. He has also teaches and guest lectures at several other colleges in the Carolinas, speaking on topics related to new media, political communication and communication ethics. He has received a number of awards for his research on a number of topics in the field of Communication. A native of South Carolina's Lowcountry, he resides in Summerville, South Carolina, where serves in a number of local academic, community, professional, and political organizations. In his spare time he enjoys reading, travel, music, and has been known to sleep once in a while.
Interests reading (mostly history and old action/adventure novels), studying communication theory, driving country roads, cooking in the kitchen and grilling out back, studying history, spending time with my kids, mentoring and lecturing classes at my college.
