Introduction	Established in 1972, Arader Galleries had a humble beginning in a dorm room at Yale University where the owner, W. Graham Arader III, attended and graduated. Yale became a trade school for Arader, fostering his passion for history and its material culture. Following graduation at Yale, Arader opened a shop above Whitlock's Bookstore in New Haven, Connecticut, and began exhibiting at major art fairs across the United States. It was only a few years later that he opened his first store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later opened locations in other major cities: New York, Houston, San Francisco and Denver.
