| Interests | I grew up on a farm in rural South Dakota where my Mom taught me how to play piano and how to sew. I believe my first love with books came from reading every "Little House on the Prairie" book that I could get my hands on. I also loved the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries. I went to college at Grace University at Omaha, NE where I met my future husband and a year after our wedding we moved far South into "ya'll" country!! We raised 4 children on a broiler chicken farm operation in NW Arkansas for 20 years where I also served and continue to serve as church pianist, women's Bible study leader, and children's music leader. I also ran a business from home during those years where I made feed sack clothing and called my business "Sacks Appeal". Presently, when I am not working as Administrative Assistant at John Brown University, I am enjoying my 8 grandchildren who live near me. |
