| Introduction | My name is Melanie Markovic Hinds and I am responsible for this site. A substantial amount of the information contained here was actually compiled by C. Wilson Schroeder with the help of his wife Jeanne Hinds Schroeder up until August 2000. I decided to try and update and maintain this family history beginning in January 2020. It also uses the information compiled by Robert S. Hinds. I use a variety of genealogical resources to gather and document the history: Ancestry.com; My Heritage.com, FamilySearch.org, FindMyGrave.com, as well as other sources such as U.S. Census reports, probate records, and land transfer records. I also have photographs that I will post which have been obtained from family sources. If you see anything here that you think is inaccurate, or if you have any pictures to post, please contact me. |
