About me

LocationNortheast, United States
IntroductionBeing truly inspired by other Gluten-Free bloggers, I've decided to share what I've learned in the kitchen and out and about in my area of the United States. I've been GF for just about a year. The first six months I spent getting used to the idea and loving the fact that I felt younger than my age again! No, I wasn't going through pre-menopause. No, my head wasn't foggy because "Honey, you're just getting old". No, I didn't have rheumatoid arthritis. No, I didn't have fibromyalgia. And yes, I found a fabulous naturopath who practically saved my life (after 15 months of undiagnosed Lyme disease and conventional docs saying I had one of any autoimmune disorders)and kept me off of anti-depressants. Yes, my children are now gluten free and they show remarkable changes in behavior, skin conditions and school work. The last five months I've spent experimenting in the kitchen. One day, I counted the alternative flours in my cupboard, hence, Farine (French for flour) Fourteen. Amazing what one can do without wheat flour.
