During those band days Ron developed an alcohol addiction, but then around Christmas time in1980 he gave his life to Jesus. He became a pastor and led churches in Kansas from 1984 through 2020, founding the CrossRoads Church in Salina, Kansas in 1998. Ron currently serves as Bishop of the Midwest Conference of the Brethren in Christ Church. He is the author of five books, and hosts the CrossRoads Radio Show, a show that draws spiritual truth and application from the sounds of classic rock music.
