Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?

I am a firm believer that forks came before spoons. Spoons are used to pick up stuff that forks cannot (like soup and peas), thereby pointing to a pre-spoon era where the fork and knife reigned supreme. I could be wrong, though. That tends to happen. Like. All. The. Time.
