Introduction | I have spent over 30 years working in public libraries whilst also serving in the TA which I retired from in 2004. Highlights were a short tour in Kosovo and commanding a Movement Control Regiment. Have also worked with loads of voluntary organisations. Currently just starting a new role at work as Learning and Development Manager. In my spare time I am a Trustee and secretary for All4Burma (have visited and worked with refugees in Thailand 4 times) and I am an accredited Christian Life Coach. We share our home with our gorgeous chow chow Watson (and we share him with our next doors neighbours). |
Interests | Cooking (and eating!), reading, travelling, working with Burmese refugees (Trustee for a charity All4Burma - www.all4burma.org.uk), growing veg in pots, coaching and mentoring. |
Favorite Movies | Musicals and comedies - love watching murder mysteries on TV such as Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder, NCIS and CSI |
Favorite Music | Mostly listen to Christian Worship music but also like a wide range of other stuff - though rarely very modern! |
Favorite Books | All time favourite is Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. Loved the autobiographies of Mansour Bahrami and Baroness Caroline Cox. Read loads of Karen Kingsbury and Dee Henderson - both brilliant Christian writers. Read any books I can on Burma such as Land Without Evil by Ben Rogers, Little Daughter and Undaunted by Zoya Phan and anything on Aug San Suu Kyi. |
