Introduction	I have been into my craft ever since my grandmothers both taught me to crochet, knit, and embroider and cross-stitch. Many years later, I discovered lacemaking, which I have been doing now for around 20 years and somewhere in that time I also learnt some tatting. I dabble in a little bit of this and that every day, needless to say that I also now have a mountain of unfinished work. I am an engineer by profession, but at the moment I am taking some time out to raise my three children. I have a little more time to spend on my crafts and yes, the mountain continues to grow. My husband, also an engineer, is a very patient man, who quietly and uncomplaining takes me on my material foraging trips. My other great passion is cooking. I am continually trying new and exciting recipes, much to the detriment of our waistlines. I am an insatiable collector. If I am not collecting materials for my craft work, then I am collecting recipes. I have been compiling them on the computer in the form of a book for many years and am fast approaching the 400 page mark. I think it may take many lifetimes or a hobbit like appetite to get through them all.
