Introduction Born and raised in Upstate New York, I was forced to watch Cubs games as a child because one of the two channels I had growing up was WGN out of Chicago. This can also explain my hatred of Bozo the Clown. As if the Cubs weren’t bad enough I almost became an Astros fan when my uncle came back from a trip to Houston with an 80’s era Astro jersey. Also referred to as the “ugliest jersey ever” this didn’t seem to bother me as I wore it quite frequently throughout my childhood. As luck would have it a family friend introduced me to my first live major league game in April of 1989 at Shea Stadium. The Mets actually won that day but have done little since.I have loved them ever since though. The Mets have exponentially added to my happiness over the years. Some of my lasting Mets memories? Worst: Getting crapped on by a pigeon in the Mezzanine level at Shea, losing the World Series to the Yankees in 2000, the disaster that was last season. Best: Robin Ventura’s grand slam single in the ’99 NLCS, winning against the Braves on 6/30/2000 after being down 8-1 in the 8th inning with two outs, Mike Piazza’s homerun to beat the Braves after 9/11.
Interests I like to do a lot of things but there's not much better than watching a mets game with a beer. Enough said.
