Industry Education
Occupation I'm a social studies tutor currently teaching my very own history and geography curriculum at an academy in the Twin Cities, MN.
Location Minnesota, United States
Introduction Armchair time-traveler, world cinema and lit enthusiast, social studies tutor, student of Hindi-Urdu, and oft-accused of maintaining a scandalous array of socio-geographical interests. Whether today's the day for South Asia or South Africa or Southeastern Europe--I stand by my right to love each place in its own way...and to make wild connections and contrasts in the space between. Also I firmly believe there's a film for every ailment.
Interests Favorite soap boxes: neo-colonialist social studies education, youth empowerment, nationalism and authoritarianism's enduring appeal across borders, the social ostracism of those with chronic illness, generational blindness to student debt, the normalization of geographic ignorance, and the difference between criticizing a country's legitimacy and the legitimacy of that country's current political administration.
