Introduction Retired from teaching, I am now involved in the public history/archives industries. I have recently been accepted in to the three-year Needlearts Appraisal Program through the American Needlepoint Guild. I have been fly fishing the past 20 years and have been known to wet a line as I pass by a hole traveling the backroads of Texas. Cody is the greatest fishing partner anyone could have, and we do enjoy our time on the water in the Mitzi Skiff flats boat, snapping photos of each other, and our catches. I like catching any fish, any size.

Rods: TFO that I build myself, except for my 5# CfR rod.
Reels: Ross for Freshwater, Nautilus for Saltwater.
Lines: Rio for floating and Orvis Depth Charge for sinking.
Fly Shops: TailWaters, Bayou City Angler, Living Waters, and Orvis.
Batson Enterprises for rod building.
Species favorites: Indo-Pacific Permit and Taimen.
Favorite Waters: Lake Amistad.

In addition to fly fishing, I enjoy needlepointing, foundation paper piecing quilting, and watercolor painting. I spend almost as much time with these crafts as I do fly fishing.
